Eastleigh Basics Bank

Eastleigh Basics Bank was set-up by the churches of Eastleigh to support those who are experiencing financial difficulty and need short term support through the provision of food.

Support comes with a mix of tins, packets and boxed food as well as fresh produce when they have it available. Eastleigh Basics Bank ask clients at the time about any special dietary requirements and try to meet those needs as far as their limited stock allows us to.

The bulk of their food is donated by the generous people of Eastleigh and the surrounding area as well as a couple of local supermarkets. Everyone who serves as part of the Eastleigh Basics Bank team is a volunteer and they are on hand to offer a cup of tea and a chat to those who want it while their food parcels are being prepared.

Thrive Church provides many volunteers that supports the Basics Bank each week, but we would like to do more!

From January 2023, Thrive Church UK will be a collection point for the Basics bank on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Donated food will be taken to the Basics bank for re distribution.
