Thrive Church are committed to protecting your privacy and are committed to being fully compliant with all applicable UK and EU data protection legislation in respect of personal data.
1. Collection of your personal information
Thrive Church collects personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, address or telephone number. We may collect personal information each time you are in contact with us. For example, when you make a donation, book into an event, request a resource, give your details to a Thrive Church worker at an event, or send us an email.Thrive Church are committed to protecting your privacy and are committed to being fully compliant with all applicable UK and EU data protection legislation in respect of personal data.
When you use the Thrive Church website there is information about your computer hardware and software that may be automatically collected by Thrive Church. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Thrive Church website.
Thrive Church encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from Thrive Church so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. Thrive Church is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the Thrive Church Web sites.
2. Use of your personal information
Thrive Church collects and uses your personal information for the following reasons:
To provide you with information about our work including newsletters, events and resources.
To process donations you give us and to ensure they are recorded correctly.
To keep records of your relationship with us. For example; what aspects of volunteering you undertake for the church, safeguarding checks, events you have attended, what enquiries or complaints you have made, or what areas of our work you have supported.
Thrive Church uses MailChimp to send regular emails. You may opt in to receive this information by contacting us at info@thrivechurch.uk. Each time you receive an email you will be able to update your preferences and subscribe or unsubscribe from regular emails via MailChimp. MailChimp data is held outside the EU.
Thrive Church also sends prayer updates by email. Again, you may opt in in to receive this information by contacting us at prayer@thrivechurch.uk. You may unsubscribe from prayer updates by sending an email to the same address.
Thrive Church does not sell, rent or lease its member lists to third parties. Thrive Church may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information is not transferred to the third party.
Thrive Church will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Thrive Church; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Thrive Church; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Thrive Church, or the public.
We will retain information about you for as long as you are a part of the church, or for longer at your request, unless there are legal requirements to retain the information for longer (e.g. financial records).
3. Keeping us up to date with your details and contact preferences
Please tell us as soon as any of your contact details change so that we can keep our records up to date. You can change the way we contact you or the kind of material we send you at any time by contacting us at info@thrivechurch.uk.
4. Where we store your personal information
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Union (“EU”). In particular, Thrive Church uses Planning Center Online, and MailChimp. Data in these applications is stored outside the EU.
By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. Thrive Church will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
5. Security of your personal information
Thrive Church secures your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. Thrive Church secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. When personal information is transmitted to other web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
6. Access to your personal information
The GDPR gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request will be free of charge.

Thrive Church welcomes your comments regarding this Statement of Privacy. If you believe that Thrive Church has not adhered to this Statement, please contact Thrive Church at info@thrivechurch.uk. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to promptly determine and remedy the problem.
This policy was last updated in May 2018 but will be subject to regular review. Please revisit it each time that you consider giving personal data.
